ABOUT BARRY KINSELLA

Irish born photographer Barry Kinsella has been based in South Florida since the 1980's. During more than 40 years in the field Barry has developed some unique "skill sets" that allow him to work in such disparate areas as travel and resorts and humanitarian and social causes.

Barry has an exceptional ability to relate to people from divergent backgrounds. Over a 10 year period staring in 1990, he documented health care initiatives in the states of the former Soviet Union. Despite cultural and language differences, Barry's connection with his subjects and their confidence in him is reflected in the often haunting images he achieved. These photographs are in the collections of the American International Health Alliance and USAID in Washington, D.C.

Translating those skills to the fields of travel and lifestyle photography is no small accomplishment and Barry's clients have reaped the benefits. He is recognized for his ability to raise the bar and his shoots for resorts and golf club communities throughout the States and abroad have produced exceptional results.

A student of history. Barry has spent many years photographing the haunts and final resting places of despots, spies, and assasins. He is working on a book to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Irish Rebellion.
